Nail prosthetics / nail replacement

Toenail problems such as damage or disease can significantly affect your comfort and confidence. During the healing process, a problem toenail can be replaced with a prosthetic one, so you can wear open shoes or walk on the beach without discomfort. In case of mechanical damage or a disease such as a fungal infection, we use a replacement nail made of antifungal gel.

This treatment is indicated for:

• Loss of the nail plate due to injury or surgery
• Fungal nail infections
• Onychorrhexis (lengthwise splitting of the nail)
• Onychoschizia (horizontal splitting of the nail)
• Onycholysis (separation of the nail from the nail bed)

It is important to note that artificial fingernails and toenail prosthetics are not the same treatment, as different technologies and materials are used. This type of treatment requires a very experienced therapist who understands nail problems, not just aesthetics. Our goal is to improve the appearance of your nail and, with replacement and protection, support its recovery.
