Maderotherapy is a manual massage technique that uses wooden instruments of different shapes: rollers, cups and shaped boards. Each is designed for a specific part of the body, so the therapist can work precisely on larger areas such as the thighs as well as more sensitive zones.
Martina perfected this technique in Belgrade with the pioneers of maderotherapy, and in our salon we use it both to shape the body and to help it relax after demanding days.
How does maderotherapy work?
Rhythmic movements with wooden instruments boost blood circulation and lymph flow. This helps the body get rid of excess fluid, and many clients notice lighter legs and less bloating after just the first treatments.
- helps with water retention in the tissue
- improves the appearance of cellulite and uneven skin
- contributes to firmer, more elastic skin
- relaxes tense muscles and has a calming effect
What does the treatment look like?
The treatment takes about 50 minutes. We start by talking about your goals and the areas you want to focus on, and we adjust the intensity of the massage to your sensitivity. The pressure is firmer than in a classic massage, but it should never be uncomfortable.
How many treatments do you need?
Maderotherapy works best as a series, with one or two treatments a week. Visible changes in the skin are usually noticeable after a few treatments, and once the series is complete the result is maintained with occasional treatments. That is why we also offer a package of 9 + 1 free treatment.
How to get better results
- drink enough water, especially on the day of the treatment
- move every day; even a brisk walk is enough
- reduce salt and highly processed food
- be consistent and do not skip appointments in the series
When is maderotherapy not recommended?
The treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or for varicose veins, thrombosis, inflammatory conditions, damaged skin and some chronic diseases. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor before your first treatment, and we will be happy to answer all your questions.
We also offer maderotherapy for the face, as a gentler version that firms and tones the skin. Read more about body maderotherapy and facial maderotherapy, or book online.
